angel panels are here and I'm still sea swimming

The angel panels have arrived. I have even started stitching a sample of the star angel above. I will have quite a few angels by the time we reach Christmas!

The panels are lovely as ever, printed by Print me Pretty on a nice quality off white cotton. There are two panels, a heart angel (which was pink in the original pattern) and a star angel (which was blue in the original pattern) Of course you can stitch your angel in any colours that you like.

I will be listing the panels in my Etsy shop at 4pm tomorrow (Saturday) and there will be a combined price that is a little lower if you want to buy two angels.

and finally, evidence of my sea swimming with photography thanks to Jason @3handedphoto with his new waterproof camera.

I have always swum in the sea and I have even been known to take a winter dip on Christmas day but this is the first year that I have swum consistently every day this far into the year. It began at the end of the first lockdown because the swimming pools were closed and it has just continued. We go down to the rocks at about 7am where there are a surprising number of friendly happy sea swimmers and swim. I have to go at 7 as it doesn’t give me any time to talk myself out of swimming. I try to take it one day at a time rather than think about the colder weather and sea that is coming soon!

This morning was the coldest swim so far this year but thankfully no photo evidence of that one! These are from earlier in the week. As you can see I am very safety aware in my very visible swimming hat. We tend to swim just before sunrise at the moment so we see the sun coming up while we are getting changed afterwards. I am still loving the cold water and still only a swimsuit and hat (technical term ‘polar bear’). I don’t think there will ever be a wet suit as it’s too cold to spend time trying to get out of it after swimming!

The swims are a little shorter now as the water temperature is around 10 degrees but it’s still so much fun and I have never felt so awake at seven in the morning!
